The Energytransition is in the pipeline

Hydrogen will play an essential role in the decarbonization of the energy system. Rapid integration of renewable hydrogen into the energy system is of particular importance for achieving the decarbonisation goals. Prerequisites for the rapid ramp-up of a hydrogen economy are resilient pricing for renewable hydrogen and the efficient transport of hydrogen.

CEGH has already been publishing the CEGH GreenHydrogen Index since December 2022 on a daily basis, which provides a transparent price indication for green hydrogen. In Summer 2023, the methodology was updated and adapted to the current market situation.

The goal of inGRID is to create a comprehensive overview of the optimal feed-in points for renewable gases in the gas grid.

inGRID is based on a digital twin of the Austrian gas grid. To identify suitable plant locations for biomethane, both the resource availability and the capacity of the gas grid were considered. For hydrogen feed-in, the future hydrogen network from the H2Roadmap for Austria is already implemented in inGRID.

inGRID is especially a planning tool for producers of renewable gases and plant planners.
